Starting Over

Life is a gift and today I chose to live it.

I’ll forget that sad past because

Despite what everyone thinks

I am a fighter.

I throw caution to the wind.

I can

Forget my past and remember,

Today is the day to sing.

Is not easy sometimes but

I’ll remember

When life is hard

Be myself,

When I let others say I can’t

That’s the greatest victory there is.

I am strong.

Who I am-

when I step back and remember

That’s who I can become,

When I decide to live

I dictate my future.
